Tasmanian Horse Transport travels between Hobart (Tasmania) and Brisbane (Queensland). We complete four(4) crossings of the Bass Strait per week via the ferry service, and up to six(6) crossings depending on available bookings.
On all runs between Melbourne and Brisbane, the horses are given a 13 hour stop over twice(2x) during the duration of the trip.

We are very aware that not all horses travel well, and we go to great lengths to make sure every horse is treated and assessed on an individual basis throughout the trip. Stopovers are well planned and strictly adhered to which ensures your horse is safe, comfortable, and happy. The Tasmanian Horse Transport range of trucks are spotlessly maintained, and driven by quality professional drivers who have an intimate knowledge of both horses, and the vehicles.

Some horses may have special needs and we are quite happy to cater for individual requirements, providing this is clearly defined and pre-arranged prior to loading. Our general feed is 'A' class Grade 1 mainland chaff, oaten and lucerne chaff, and straight oats. Meadow hay is also available at all times.
